'NEW' Las Patronas

Our coffee story began in 1922 when our grandfather Jose Reynaldo Fiallos Pinel at 13 years old became a coffee grower at his father's farm in Las Sabanas, Nicaragua. Our father, followed in those steps with his own coffee farm, and eventually caring for Finca La Union, our grandparent's coffee farm, after the end of Nicaragua’s civil war and our grandfather's death.  

Natural Prep Process- where the whole coffee cherry is left intact on the seed during fermentation. This includes the skin, pulp, and mucilage–nothing is removed. The beans lie in the sun on cement patios while constantly being turned. This is how our grand-father processed coffee before we had running water at La Union family farm.

LAS PATRONAS blend, celebrates everything we hope to be as leaders and women breaking our own path in the coffee industry.  

In developing this blend we were looking for unique flavour nuances to represent our unique story and growth through the years.
